Desert Botanical Gardens

Butterfly Exhibit and National Gardens Day.

Sonja and I went on a play date with a new friend duo yesterday, Friday, May 6. A mommy and son that birthed with Shell (our Midwife).  It was so nice to go somewhere and do something with a like minded mama. We talked a lot while walking around the gardens.  Unfortunately, it's so hot here already, we only stayed for a little over 2 hours.  I could spend the whole day there!  But, once it cools off, I'm going to get a membership.  So, we can go whenever we'd like.  Luckily, we happened to pick the one day it was FREE to go to the gardens. I added them as a friend on facebook and noticed a status update that Friday was National Gardens Day and that admission and the butterfly exhibit would be FREE.  Here's some images from the day...

Can you find all the butterflies in my photos?

Our friends watching the Butterflies

This was the kind that was in our yard a few days ago.

After the butterflies we went to the wildflower garden and they had various Ludvic sculptures in the area. I liked this one most...
