DIY Apple Pie

or, how to reuse caramel apples after an epic baking fail...

Dutch Apple Pie!

I washed off the caramel and peeled the apples with a knife. Then I used my apple core and cutter to "slice" them. Super easy!

Modifications: I didn't have oatmeal and I made a strudel topping for the muffins with flour, so I substituted flour for oatmeal. 1 cup flour instead of 2 cups oatmeal... but I should have also done a bit less butter. In any case, it was delicious! and of course no sugar here, instead use sucanat.
