Functional Friday No. 25

Cramp Bark.

The name says it all.  It helps (A LOT) with uterine cramping.  I know several ladies who take Naproxen for monthly cramping and when I look at the two options I am stunned that a doctor would prescribe such a seriously potentially dangerous drug when a natural safe alternative exists.   I would venture to say its because they don't even know about it or it's uses.  And unlike Naproxen, Cramp Bark is safe during pregnancy.  In fact, it can be used to prevent miscarriage.  I learned about this miracle liquid from my midwife, postpartum, when I got wicked cramping the day after giving birth.  I also used it just recently when I got my moontime back and had some painful cramping.  It works great.  I actually had a headache when I took it too, and that went away. Not sure if there is a connection, or just lucky.  But if you are an ovulating woman with monthly pain, do yourself and your body a favor and research Cramp Bark and see if it's right for you.  Hope you find this natural information as helpful as I did.

  1. I've never heard of this but I will for sure be giving it a try. Somehow after having a baby cramps are so much worse. Thanks for posting!

  2. I'm going to try this stuff. I was prescribed Naproxen for my awful cramps (which helps me right away), however I don't exactly like taking pain killers every month.
I hope this stuff works out!
